“GEOPOLITICAL REALITIES” EXCLUSIVE REPORTS
Limited distribution subscriptions are available for Geopolitical Realities: Wealth and Risk Management in a Dangerous World. This exclusive service, strictly limited to just 100 clients, is published ten times a year and is available for $5000 per annum.
Each 12-20 page issue includes an Executive Summary and then plumbs the depths of a major issue of significant import in national or international risk management.
Many financial analysts claim they are “bottom-up” analysts or quants who believe that all risk and opportunity is already reflected in the price of individual issues and world markets. We couldn’t disagree more vehemently.
We believe that all markets are occasionally inefficient, that at times any single market can be remarkably inefficient, and that the less developed the market, the more likely it is to enjoy/encounter periods of disruption and periods of euphoria that may be capitalized upon.
Topics covered by Geopolitical Realities: Wealth and Risk Management in a Dangerous World reports include “The Changing Nature of Warfare: Investment Implications,” “Worldwide Immigration & Emigration trends: Investment Implications,” “Energy Sources and Uses: Investment Implications” and “EURABIA -- The Final Moorish Conquest? Investment Implications.”
SMA / SUB-ADVISOR
There are many different styles of investing practiced by the best hedge funds. Among those with typically greater risk and potential reward are “market timing,” “macro,” “aggressive,” “emerging markets,” and “130/30” styles. (Among those considered lower risk and usually lesser reward are: “income,” “distressed securities,” “value,” and the various market-neutral strategies such as arbitrage and long-short.)
How can quality hedge fund managers lower the risk inherent in making big bets on macro events around the world, no matter their style and approach? By understanding the geopolitical environment in which all financial decisions are made.
It isn’t easy to find capable money managers who also have decades of experience in analyzing government and non-state actions, who understand the culture of the areas of investment interest, and who can assess the likelihood of various scenarios in order to act decisively.
One way to acquire this expertise is to use Stanford Advisory as a sub-advisor. We blend a low-risk long-term value approach that stresses distressed securities and, when appropriate, a long-short approach, but blend this with an active use of higher-risk aggressive and emerging markets, making large sector concentrations when the time is propitious to do so. Our intimate understanding of political, social and military trends worldwide that allow us to succeed where others are merely guessing. We invite your inquiries...
